Colombian Wooden Furniture Exports Up 4.1% in 7M-2024

COLOMBIA – Colombia’s wooden furniture exports have shown a slight increase from January to July 2024, rising by 4.1% to reach USD 34.99 million compared to USD 33.62 million during the same period in 2023.

This growth is attributed to notable increases in exports to several key markets, despite declines in others.

Among the primary destinations, exports to the USA grew by 10.0% to USD 8.33 million, while exports to Mexico surged by 94.4% to USD 3.82 million. Costa Rica also saw a substantial increase of 43.7%, reaching USD 1.42 million. However, exports to Ecuador fell sharply by 34.2%, and sales to Guatemala decreased by 11.9%. Exports to other also saw a significant decline of 17.2%.

Examining individual Colombian exporters, Muebles Jamar led with USD 7.41 million in exports, a 19.3% increase from last year. IMA Industria de Artículos de Madera experienced the most substantial growth, with a 75.8% rise to USD 3.77 million.

Letto’s exports saw a huge 1263.0% increase, reaching USD 1.54 million, though some companies like Industria de Muebles del Valle and Milestone Muebles faced declines in their export figures.
