CHILE – Arauco, a global leader in the forestry and wood products sector, has reported positive financial results for the first half of 2024, highlighting a strong recovery and growth in both revenue and profitability.

For January to June 2024, Arauco achieved sales of USD 3.19 billion, a 12.0% increase from USD 2.85 billion in 2023. This growth underscores the company’s solid market position and effective strategies.

The Wood Products division experienced a 5.7% decline in sales to USD 1.52 billion. Nevertheless, EBITDA surged by 107.3% to USD 859.3 million, with an EBITDA margin rising to 26.9% from 14.6% last year.

Net profit rebounded significantly to USD 140.9 million, compared to a loss of USD 101.4 million in the same period last year. In 2Q-2024, sales reached USD 1.53 billion, up 8.9% from USD 1.41 billion in 2Q-2023. Quarterly profit also improved to USD 40.5 million, from a loss of USD 47.1 million previously.

Arauco’s performance reflects effective strategies in overcoming challenges and seizing growth opportunities, positioning it well for the second half of 2024.
