USA – The International Woodworking Fair (IWF), which concluded earlier this month, attracted a global audience of professionals from various segments of the woodworking industry.
Held at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta from August 6 to 9, the event was a significant gathering for those involved in cabinetry, furniture, architectural millwork, closets, components, and more.
Owned and sponsored by the Wood Industry Association (WIA), the biennial trade show and conference featured 1,093 exhibitors and drew thousands of attendees. The expansive exhibit space covered approximately 733,000 square feet across three buildings within the convention center’s 1.2 million square feet of space.
Chris Hacker, the 2024 IWF show chairman, emphasized the event’s importance, stating, “People view IWF as a premier business venue in Atlanta. This reputation makes it worthwhile for attendees to bring their teams and new talent to engage with the industry in a meaningful way.”
The 2024 IWF concluded with an estimated 26,000 participants exploring the latest in equipment, technology, and services presented by nearly 1,100 exhibitors. The show was highlighted by the presentation of the Challengers Distinguished Achievement Award to seven companies, the announcement of the six winners of the 2024 Design Emphasis Student Furniture competition, and the naming of the Wooden Globe Award winners by the Wood Industry Association.
As preparations begin for the next IWF, scheduled for August 25-28, 2026, the success of this year’s event underscores its status as North America’s largest woodworking trade show. Attendees enjoyed a range of activities including educational seminars, awards ceremonies, and networking events, all set against the backdrop of the Georgia World Congress Center.
