BRAZIL – In January, Arauco opened a new distribution center, located in the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco. Through this investment, the company will be able to supply more efficiently to its clients in Brazil’s northeast.
The new distribution center will be able to store up to 8,000 m³ of panels in an 3,500 m² area with which it will optimize storage and marketing of MDF panels produced in its Jaguariaíva plant. For Shulamith Ataide Santos, regional sales manager in the Northeast, this movement “strengthens our competitive advantage in the region, as we guarantee our trading partners faster access to our panels”.
According to John Casimir, marketing manager of Arauco Brazil, the new distribution center will allow clients to receive orders within seven days. “The initiative represents another milestone in the continued growth of Arauco in Brazil, and translates our business vision to enable us to offer the complete portfolio to a very promising market. Previously, customers had to withdraw their order in our industrial plants located within Paraná. With the new space, we will deliver the products directly to our commercial partners,”. Another advantage of the new distribution center cited by Casimir, is the location: “This is a prime location, taking into account the proximity to the Port of Suape, the most important of the region, and also to the main capitals of the Northeast”.
