ITALY – Certification body Catas has launched verify.catas.com to combat the misuse of its name through fraudulent or altered test reports.
This new website allows users to instantly verify the authenticity of Catas test reports by uploading the document, which is checked for a digital signature—an internationally recognized tool ensuring document integrity.
If the digital signature is compromised, the system prompts a more detailed review by Catas personnel, who will compare the report with Catas archives to resolve any discrepancies.
This initiative aims to protect legitimate businesses from fraudulent certifications and ensure compliance with international standards in the wood-furniture sector.
