GERMANY – According to information published by EUWID, the German furniture industry experienced a 6.2 % recovery in total revenues to €1.572bn in September after falling in August.

Growth of the German furniture industry was substantial domestically and abroad in September 2014. According to figures from the German Federal Statistical Office that were compiled by the German Furniture Industry Federation, in the domestic market, the industry enjoyed a 4.9 % growth in revenues, reaching €1.107bn and compared with the same month last year. Foreign turnover was 9.2 % higher than September 2013 at €465.1m.
