ECUADOR – In the January-August-2014 period the Ecuadorian market imported plastic edges worth USD 1.985.323.

In the period Portugal was the main supplying country with sales of USD 618.353 mainly to Empresas Durini, that operates the Edimca distribution network across Ecuador.

Portugal’s edgeband imports to Ecuador were followed by Spain with sales of USD 505.303 and Chile with sales of USD 453.747. Among these three main supplying countries sales totaled USD 1.577.403, equal to 79.4% of Ecuadorian plastic edge imports. The main supplying companies were Probos (Portugal), Rehau (Spain/Chile) and Canplast (Chile).
