GERMANY – At sales results of over € 550 million, the Schattdecor group achieved a distinct improvement in performance in the last fiscal year over the previous one.

The company reported strongest growth in the impregnation field, but printing and foil operations also underwent a positive development. In 2013 the Thansau, Germany-based decor paper printer processed almost 1.5 thousand million square meters of paper.

At €63 million altogether, Schattdecor’s investments were significantly higher in 2013 than in the previous year, when they amounted to €43 million, and mainly concerned acquisition of Coveright Surfaces in Brazil, expansion of foil production capacity in Głuchołazy, Poland, and extensions to the plant in Tyumen, Russia. In the current fiscal year the decor paper printer is intending to enlarge impregnation capacity in Brazil and at its plant in Rosate, Italy.
