REGION – Masisa launched its traditional Design Competition for students majoring in architecture, design and the like, who must submit a furniture project that represents “Modular and versatile styles of living”.
The theme of the 2014 design competition was chosen by the students themselves, after sending more than 500 entries from students from various countries of Latin America, a large regional co-creation process. “Modules capable of composing several completely different furniture together, resulting in identity and constructive rationalization” is the explanation of Ana Paula, a Brazilian architecture student, whose proposal was voted the winner and becomes the guide for students from across the region to develop their projects this year.
The contest marks 20 years since its first release, always looking to enhance future career development of the furniture industry, encouraging creativity and technological innovation through design. The 2014 international winner will have the opportunity to travel to a design fair of their choice in: Germany, France, Italy, America or England.
Projects can be submitted until June 30, 2014. The guide lines are available in www.masisa.com and queries will be answered in the social networks of the Company.
