ITALY (Notifix).- The Saviola Group is celebrating this year its 50th anniversary continuing true to its founder’s ideal of an eco-ethical company that only produces wood panels from 100% recycled wood.

Mauro Saviola was a visionary that saw the potential in recovering scrap wood and reprocessing it through panel board production to create an infinite repeatable cycle. The Italian group even went further by creating a nationwide network for the collection of scrap wood, developing resins for the manufacturing process recognized for their reduced environmental impact and even produce clean energy from the processes.

Today, 50 years later the company boasts 14 plants in Italy, Belgium, France and Argentina (Sadepan Latinoamericana), 1.5 million tons of reclaimed wood processed each year, 22 collection centers in Italy and in Europe, dozens of certifications for a production system that as the company points out “many have tried – with little success – to replicate” and most important: 10,000 trees saved every day.
