GERMANY – The Hettich Group with its headquarters in Kirchlengern generated turnover of € 855 million in 2013. This represents a slight fall of 0.3 per cent over the year before (2012: € 857 m).

As announced by the Chairman of the Management Board, managing partner Dr. Andreas Hettich, business abroad accounted for 69 per cent of turnover, remaining the same as it was the year before. The strong euro was the main obstacle to better performance. In 2013, some € 65 million were invested in products, plant and buildings world-wide. Around the globe, the group employed more than 6000 members of staff as in 2012. Well over 3000 of these workplaces were in Germany.

In full family ownership, the company has a tradition of not publishing specific operating figures. “We are not entirely satisfied with the result as we had wanted to see turnover grow”, Dr. Andreas Hettich said. “We are expecting 2014 to bring moderate growth in a slightly improved business environment.”

At the focus of 2013 was Group’s 125th anniversary as well as the “Slide it. Love it.” theme that has been used since Interzum to present new sliding door applications and functions.
