CANADA (Notifix).- Canadian panel producer, Norbord, continued to outpace its competitors in the 1Q-2013. In line with the recovery in the North American construction market Norbord increased its sales by 44.3% in the period outperforming Colombia based Tablemac (39.3%) and Brazilian Duratex (18.5%).

 A noticeable improvement in Norbord´s EBITDA was also achieved with an increase of 428.6% easily above Duratex (49.1%) and Chilean Masisa (37.4%). Likewise Norbord had the best improvement in its EBITDA margin with an increase of more than 20 percentage points compared to same period 2012, followed by Duratex and Masisa.
