SPAIN (Notifix).- According to Anieme, the Spanish association of furniture manufacturers and exporters, foreign sales of furniture reached €1,343 million in 2011, an
increase of 0.6% compared to the volume registered in 2010.Sales to mature markets, such as France and Portugal fell by 6.7% and 1.3% respectively, while Germany, Italy and the UK reported increases in their imports of 13.3%, 6.0% and 4.9% in 2011. A highlight in the period has been the increase in Spanish exports of furniture to emerging markets such as Qatar and India, where sales grew by 54.7% and 42.8% respectively during in 2011.
