VIETNAM – On June 3rd, Mekong Wood MDF Joint Stock Company achieved a significant milestone by producing its first board at its new facility in Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province.

Formerly known for trading wood-based panels, the company has now entered panel production with this plant.

In 2022, Mekong Wood partnered with Siempelkamp due to their strong reputation in Southeast Asia. Siempelkamp supplied comprehensive services from planning to installation, integrating core competencies from Buttner, CMC, Sicoplan, and Pallmann. The plant features a ContiRoll® in 8′ x 47.1 m format with NEO press technology tailored for acacia processing, enhancing efficiency and reliability.

The plant, with an annual capacity exceeding 400,000 m³, focuses on producing boards primarily from local acacia and eucalyptus. This successful project underscores Siempelkamp’s reputation and commitment to the Vietnamese market.
