BRAZIL – In the first five months of 2024 (5M-2024), Brazilian wooden furniture exports totaled USD 65.71 million, marking a 10.5% improvement from the same period in 2023 (5M-2023: USD 59.47 million).
Chile maintained its position as the leading external market for Brazilian wooden furniture exports in 5M-2024, importing USD 20.75 million, reflecting a significant increase of 23.8%. Uruguay and Peru followed as the second and third largest external markets, respectively importing USD 15.83 million and USD 12.73 million, showing growth rates of 5.3% and 7.6%.
Rio Grande Do Sul emerged as the top exporting state of Brazilian wooden furniture in 5M-2024, with exports totaling USD 35.24 million, an 18.7% increase compared to 5M-2023 (USD 29.68 million). Meanwhile, wooden furniture exports from Parana reached USD 16.10 million, slightly declining by 1.1% from 5M-2023 (USD 16.27 million).
