USA – Martco, LLC, the parent company of RoyOMartin, is set to invest over USD 30 million in high-tech equipment for its Allen Parish OSB plant, which serves the housing industry.
This initiative will maintain 232 full-time jobs at the plant, where the average annual salary is USD 75,000. The Louisiana Economic Development (LED) estimates that the project will support an additional 600 indirect jobs statewide, totaling 831 retained and indirectly supported jobs.
Susan B. Bourgeois, Secretary of LED, praised RoyOMartin’s century-long contribution to Louisiana’s timber and manufacturing sectors, noting the company’s readiness for future success.
The Oakdale plant, a key player in North American OSB production since its first panel in 2007, is undergoing upgrades to enhance productivity and efficiency, including new press hood installations and other essential maintenance.
Local officials recognize the plant’s significant economic impact on the community and welcome the continued investment. Louisiana Economic Development has facilitated this expansion with an incentive package featuring a USD 455,400 Retention and Modernization Grant.
