ECUADOR – The value of Ecuadorian imports of decorative papers for wood panel surfaces amounted to USD 5.60 million in the first two months of 2024 (2M-2024).

This marked a decrease of 17.7% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year (2M-2022: USD 6.81 million).

Novopan del Ecuador, a prominent manufacturer and exporter of particleboard (MDP) in Latin America, emerged as the foremost importing entity of decorative papers in 2M-2024 with USD 5.19 million, reflecting a 17.0% decline from 2M-2023 (USD 6.25 million).

Coveright and Interprint stood out as the primary suppliers in 2M-2022 with USD 1.50 million and USD 1.40 million respectively, demonstrating significant increases of 133.9% and 73.2% respectively.

Spain (USD 1.64 million), Brazil (USD 1.53 million), and Italy (USD 1.31 million) were identified as the top three countries supplying decorative papers to the Ecuadorian market in 2M-2024.
