GERMANY – Prior to Holz-Handwerk 2024, Weinig signed a contract to take over the grinding machine program of Stähle-Hess GmbH.

After the technical integration phase, the Rotofinish, Gloria and Saturn machines will be produced at Weinig from 2025 and sold under the Weinig brand.

This agreement is not a conventional acquisition; Weinig acquires the designs and know-how of Stähle-Hess, as well as the marketing rights, while keeping Stähle-Hess responsible for servicing the machines.

Werner Müller, Managing Director of Stähle-Hess, emphasizes the long-standing relationship between the two companies and the logic of this customer-focused agreement. Weinig expands its product portfolio and strengthens its position as a leading provider of woodworking solutions for window production.

Weinig is the world’s leading manufacturer of machines and systems for solid wood processing.  The wood-based panel division is represented by Holz-Her as an independent brand.
