GERMANY – The Homag Technology Days, held from March 12 to 14 in Holzbronn, showcased cutting-edge technologies for precise panel dividing and intuitive panel handling in furniture production, timber construction, and trade.
The event attracted numerous visitors and emphasized personal dialogue alongside demonstrations of machines, cell solutions, and digital products.
Among the highlights were the Sawteq S-300 / S-400 flexTec robot saws, featuring integrated robots capable of unmanned batch size 1 production for extended periods. Homag also introduced a new base model of these robot saws to address workforce shortages in medium-sized companies, offering full functionality at a more accessible price point.
Additionally, storage technology was showcased, including the new quickTip and intelliStore AI – Offcuts functions of the woodStore 8 storage software. This technology not only autonomously makes optimal storage decisions but also proactively communicates with operators to maximize efficiency.
Another featured solution was the Storeteq F-100 single-axis feeder, facilitating fully automatic production with manual offcut management. The cell’s intuitive control via woodStore was highlighted as a standout feature.
The next Technology Day, focusing on CNC and edge processing, will be held from April 10 to 12 in Herzebrock.
