MEXICO – Kuka Home Mexico, a leading Chinese company in the production of high-end upholstered furniture, has officially expanded its plant located in Interpuerto Monterrey, Nuevo León.
The investment for this plant expansion totaled USD 150 million, with an initial phase expected to generate 1,000 jobs in the region.
Iván Rivas Rodríguez, the Secretary of Economy for the state, highlighted that the announcement of Kuka Home’s establishment in the region was made in 2022, and in less than 20 months, it has come to fruition with the creation of 1,000 jobs. They project to reach 2,500 positions by the end of the year, and the company has expressed the possibility of expanding to as many as 5,000 jobs.
