USA- The United States wooden furniture imports reached USD 9.4 billion in the first nine months of 2023 (9M-2023). This represented a 26.5% decrease compared to the USD 12.8 billion imported in the same period of 2023.
Wooden furniture imports from Canada, were the only ones that did not decrease among the top supplying countries and presented a slight increase of 0.6% reaching USD 1.0 billion.
Vietnam, despite a considerable decrease of 29.1%, was again clearly the main supplying country of wooden furniture to the United States, with shipments of USD 3.4 billion in 9M-2023 (9M-2022: USD 4.8 billion).
China was passed by Canada and was the third supplying country of wooden furniture to the US market, with USD 970.7 million in 9M-2023. This compares with USD 1.4 billion in the same period 2022. Which represented a strong decrease of 32.9%.
Mexico with shipments of USD 648 million improved to fourth most important supplying country of wooden furniture to the US market. Although compared to the same period 2022 shipments fell 26.1% (9M-2022: USD 877,4 million).
