GERMANY – Homag, a pioneer in the advancement of Industry 4.0 in the wood processing industry, has received another important award.

The Homag Group was honored at the Allianz Industry 4.0 Award 2023 in the category of “Pioneer in Industry and Research” for its innovative solution, “Apps and Digital Assistants for Carpenters and Joiners.”

Homag’s apps and digital assistants form an innovative business area: digital solutions for everyday work in work preparation and in the workshop for the skilled trades.

Especially in the carpentry trade, our customers deal with the same questions again and again:  Are there simple solutions that can remove various hurdles (e.g. the organization of materials or the sorting of parts) in everyday work?  How can we slowly approach the use of digital assistants in the workshop? Which tools can you try out easily without investing large sums of money?

Homag has addressed these questions and developed digital solutions for the skilled trades, which have now received their first award as part of the Allianz Industry 4.0 Awards.
