COLOMBIA – The value of Colombian imports of decorative papers for panel and laminate surfaces reached USD 10.63 million in the January-September 2023 period (9M-2023).

This represents a sharp decrease of 29.6% compared to the same period of the previous year (9M-2022: USD 15.10 million).

Dexco (Duratex), the country’s leading manufacturer of wood-based panels, was the leading importer of decorative papers in 9M-2023 with USD 4.28 million, down 22.6% compared to 9M-2022 (USD 5.53 million). It was followed by Primadera and Lamitech with USD 2.17 million and USD 1.50 million, respectively. This represents decreases of 62.2% and 36.1%.

Brazil (USD 7.41 million), China (USD 1.36 million) and Spain (USD 868 thousand) were the three main suppliers of decorative papers for the Colombian market in 9M-2023.

Schattdecor and Interprint were the main suppliers of decorative papers for laminating wood-based panels to the Colombian market in 9M-2023.
