POLAND – The board of directors of the polish furniture manufacturer Forte SA made the decision to restructure the workforce to align with the current demand situation, which entails a reduction of approximately 10% in the workforce. The company will initiate discussions with labor unions to facilitate this process.
As the prominent Polish manufacturer of self-assembly furniture, Fabryki Mebli “Forte” reports that the need to implement a program for adapting operational capacities and production costs to the present market conditions has arisen. This necessity stems from a substantial decline in furniture demand coupled with rising production expenses. The company’s strategy places a strong emphasis on focusing on strategic priorities, making investments, and optimizing raw material and energy consumption. Notably, investments have been made in renewable energy sources, including the installation of photovoltaic systems at all of their locations.
The next phase involves aligning the employment structure with the current situation and the company’s objectives. Maria Florczuk, the CEO of the Forte Group, emphasizes, “Our objective is to ensure Forte’s long-term sustainability. We remain committed to introducing technical and technological innovations and developing attractive new product lines. All our initiatives are aimed at preserving competitiveness and providing our customers with high-quality and competitive products and services.”
