Proteak secures funding of USD 91.2 million for MDF project

MEXICO – Proteak Uno, S.A.B. de C.V. (Proteak, BMV: TEAK), Mexican leader in the international forest industry, announced it has signed a loan agreement for EUR 66.8 million (USD 91.2 million) with Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH (AKA). 

These resources will be used for the acquisition of German machinery for the Proteak MDF plant in Tabasco.

The loan will be disbursed in dollars and with a 50% risk participation of  Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft and the guarantee of the German federal government through Euler Hermes.

Proteak develops all its plantations in strict accordance with the guidelines of FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council). It is the largest forestry company in Mexico and Central America, with plantations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia. Its products are exported to over 15 countries in America, Europe and Asia.
