GERMANY –Three Hettich products/functions have been chosen to receive the prestigious 2014 iF Product Design Award. The iF Design Award has been distinguishing outstanding design achievements for over six decades.

Hettich impressed the jury with the Sensys wide angle hinge, the Sensys thick door hinge and the Push to Open Silent function for ArciTech. The prizes will be presented during the iF Design Awards Night on 28 February.

The Sensys wide angle hinge gives furniture doors a wide opening angle and closes them evenly and gently. The Sensys thick door hinge provides an ideal silent system performance and also the exceptionally wide self-closing angle of 35°. The all-mechanical principle of Push to Open Silent for ArciTech drawers works like an electromechanical system: it opens drawers all by itself and closes them softly and gently. Opening force, triggering sensitivity and front panel gap can be adjusted. This function can be added at a later date without having to modify the drawer.
