ITALY – Professionals, entrepreneurs, and industry operators from the wood and furniture sector convened at the Catas headquarters in San Giovanni al Natisone to mark the 30th anniversary of the CQA-Catas Quality Award, a prestigious product certification offered by the laboratory.
Catas has granted certification to a total of 200 products thus far, adhering to stringent criteria that encompass formaldehyde emissions, coating systems, laminated wood profiles used in windows and door frames, and, more recently, the certification of “Made in Italy” furniture.
Lucia Cristina Piu, President of Catas, inaugurated the event, underscoring Catas’ proactive and efficient response to the requirements of the Friulian, Italian, and global manufacturing sectors. She emphasized Catas’ dedication to supporting businesses and the local community. The CQA-Catas Quality Award exemplifies this commitment by consolidating the wealth of knowledge and expertise amassed over the years into a rigorous testing process. This process aligns with both national and international standards and aims to facilitate companies in obtaining quality certification for their products.
Piu pointed out that Catas’ certification has effectively addressed the needs of numerous entrepreneurs, enabling them to penetrate demanding markets and secure substantial orders for Friuli Venezia Giulia and Italy.
Around fifty companies, hailing from Italy and abroad, have chosen to have their products certified by CQA. Many of them gathered to commemorate the anniversary and gain deeper insights into the content and attributes of Catas’ certification process.
