INDIA – Haworth, a US-based global furniture manufacturer with a revenue of USD 2.5 billion, is set to expand and fortify its presence in India to tap into the rapidly growing domestic market.

The company plans to invest approximately USD 10 million in the establishment of its second factory in Sriperumbudur. This new facility, situated adjacent to the current one, will effectively double the company’s existing plant space, totaling 10,500 square meters.

Henning Figge, President of Haworth International, a provider of premium global workspace solutions, made this announcement.

The factory will manufacture a range of key Haworth products, enabling the company to take advantage of promising market prospects and meet the increasing demand for its premium workspace solutions in the country.

In addition to catering to the domestic market, the furniture and components produced at the factory will be exported to North America and Europe. Haworth has a global presence in over 150 countries through a network of 400 dealers and employs 8,000 individuals worldwide. In India, it operates five showrooms and offices.
