COLOMBIA – Sales of the top 12 Colombian furniture manufacturers totaled COP 955.1 billion in 2022, which compares to COP 864.7 billion in 2021. This represented a growth of 10.5 percent.
Despite a 10 percent decrease in sales in 2022, RTA Muebles was again the country’s leading furniture manufacturer with sales of COP 179 billion.
Famoc Depanel remained the second largest manufacturer with sales of COP 139.3 billion in 2022 compared to sales of COP 120.6 billion in 2021, an improvement of 15.6 percent.
They were followed by Socoda and Maderkit with sales of COP 115.8 billion and COP 110.4 billion respectively.
Among the country’s top twelve furniture manufacturers, six specialize in office and commercial furniture, four specialize in ready to assemble furniture (RTA) and the other two, in kitchen furniture and wooden doors.
Manufacturers specializing in modular furniture (RTA) had consolidated sales of COP 404.9 billion in 2022 and a slight drop of 2.5 percent compared to 2021 (COP 415.1 billion). While manufacturers specializing in office and commercial furniture had sales of COP 385.5, billion, a significant improvement of 27.2 percent over 2021 (COP 303 billion).
