BRASIL – Eucatex, one of the largest manufacturers of wood panels in Brazil, with operations also in the paint, varnish, laminated flooring and doors segments, announced its results for the 2nd quarter of 2022 (2Q-2022).
Total net sales revenue in 2Q-2022 was BRL 600.9 million, compared to BRL 556.3 million in 2Q-2021, up 8.0%.
In the Wood Segment, revenue decreased 0.3% in the quarter, reflecting an average increase of 8.8% in prices and the increase in volume during the period. In the first half 2022, sales revenue grew 5.1%.
In the 2Q-2022 EBITDA totaled BRL 118.7 million, down 10.8% from 2Q-2021. EBITDA Margin in 2Q-2022 reached 19.7%, decreasing 4.2 p.p. from the same period last year.
Recurring Net Income (profit) in 2Q-2022, excluding the effect of non-recurring expenses and net of income tax, totaled BRL 40.4 million compared to BRL 94.0 million in the 2Q-2021 (-57 percent).
Investments in 2Q-2022 totaled BRL 61.3 million and were allocated to maintaining the Company’s industrial and, chiefly, forest operations. For 2022, investments of around BRL 248.0 million are planned, an increase of 19.5% from 2021, due to the significant increase in the plantation of new forests and the increase in prices of imported parts and services.
