BRASIL – The economic news shows a Brazil with the return of inflation and successive downward projections for its GDP. This situation is directly related to the commotion in the world market, caused by the crisis of the pandemic Covid-19 and aggravated by the war in Ukraine. In spite of this, Asperbras decided to increase its productive investments.
GreenPlac, a subsidiary of Asperbras, which manufactures MDF in one of the most modern factories in the country, will invest BRL 115 million (USD 24 million) in production. “The crisis is passing, but Brazil is permanent and we believe in our nation”, says José Roberto Colnaghi, president of Asperbras.
“We Brazilians need to trust that we will overcome adversity and continue betting on the country and generating jobs”, points out José Roberto Colnaghi, who cites as an example GreenPlac’s investments.
The amount mentioned by the executive will be invested in circular economy, forestry, sustainability, and industry. These resources will allow the expansion of eucalyptus planting in the group’s own forests, which already have the prestigious international FSC certification. With this, GreenPlac intends to further qualify the main raw material for MDF production.
The investment will also contemplate the production expansion, besides the increase in the truck fleet for the transportation of GreenPlac products. The company will invest in support equipment, which aims to increase the self-sufficiency of the manufacturing processes. Among the novelties is the impregnating machine, which is already being installed at the Água Clara (MS) plant.
