SPAIN – According to ANIEME (Spanish National Association of Furniture Manufacturers and Exporters), from January to March 2022 (1Q-2022) Spanish furniture exports show an increase of 8.8%, exceeding EUR 649 million.
The three Autonomous Communities that export the most furniture (Catalonia, Valencia and Galicia) account for 63.8% of total Spanish furniture exports in 1Q-2022.
France continues in its leading position with 30.9% of total Spanish furniture exports, despite suffering a slight decrease of 2.4% in 1Q-2022.
The United States, with an increase of 26.4%, ranks third in the ranking of Spanish furniture destinations worldwide at the end of this period. This is undoubtedly a market that it is essential to promote, not only because of the enormous business opportunities it presents, but also to offset the decline of European countries such as Germany, Italy and Belgium.
The United Kingdom, despite the Brexit, maintains its upward growth rate with a significant increase of 32.8% between January and March 2022 compared to the first quarter of the previous year.
