SPAIN – FIMMA – Maderalia is finalizing the details of an edition that will once again feature an ambitious program of activities and conferences.

Within this program, the ‘I Jornadas Arquitectura y Nuevos Materiales’, a series of conferences that will take place on the afternoons of March 29, 30 and 31 during FIMMA – Maderalia (March 29 to April 1), stands out with its own name.

These conferences will address the use of new materials in contemporary architecture and especially how a material as traditional as wood is adapted to the most current proposals. In addition, the conference will address the ‘boom’ that industrialized construction is experiencing precisely through the presence of wood and these new materials.

The conference will be held on the afternoons of the first three days of FIMMA – Maderalia. On the first day, Tuesday, March 29, the conference will open with a monographic symposium on wood industrialization and its application in residential housing as well as in hotel and tourist complexes. It will do so with the intervention of professionals who are part of leading firms in this sector.

The second day of the conference cycle will focus on the contract business and the importance of materials, systems and processes in it. To this end, the conference will feature the participation of, for example, top-level hotel chains and architects.

The third and final day of the symposium, scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, March 31, will address the relationship between industry and the environment through the use of wood.
