BRASIL – Brazilian Particleboard (PB / MDP) exports reached USD 86.80 million in 2021.

Although PB / MDP exports to Peru (USD 22.55 million) and Colombia (USD 13.26 million) were up more than 45 per cent they were offset by large export decreases to China (-33 per cent) and the United States (- 45.8 per cent) who’s purchases fell from a combined USD 38.39 million in 2020 to a combined USD 23.24 million in 2020.
PB / MDP exports to Bolivia reached USD 11.53 million in 2021 up 42 per cent compared to USD 8.12 million in 2020.
Rio Grande do Sul with PB / MDP exports of USD 27.92 million in 2021 past Santa Catarina (USD 27.88 million) and was the main Brazilian PB / MDP exporting state. Although exports from both states were down 4.1 per cent and 17.9 per cent respectively.
They were followed By Sao Paulo with a strong increase of 73.6 per cent from USD 7.23 million in 2020 to USD 12.56 million in 2021. Parana and Minas Gerais were next with PB / MDP exports of USD 9.50 million and USD 8.59 million.
