GERMANY – After the Rehau´s Furniture Solutions division received three prizes at this year’s German Design Award, the next award comes shortly before the end of the year: The Edelmatt collection also impressed the jury of the ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Interior, which were also launched by the German Design Council – and the shed light on another aspect of excellent design, with a focus on architectural solutions.

The ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Interior are considered a trend barometer in the furnishing industry. The aim of the award, which, according to the self-description, is awarded to “only the best of the best from the furnishing industry and interior design”, is to develop a platform for networking architects, product designers and property developers with the furnishing industry. Anyone who prevails here against the top-class competition has proof of the exceptional quality of their products.

According to the jury’s verdict, this applies to the REHAU Edelmatt collection, which received the “Best of Best” award in the “Product Design / Furniture” category. With the Edelmatt collection, which consistently picks up on the trend towards matt furniture, carpenters, designers and industrial partners can create furniture and rooms from a single source. This is made possible by the fact that the surface, edge and storage space are available in a design combination. The appealing look is accompanied by a pleasant, velvety feel with a soft touch and anti-fingerprint.
