BRAZIL – On October 29th, a short-cycle press line made by Siempelkamp produced its first board at Dexco’s Agudos location.
The time span between the start of assembly and this first board was only three months.
The short-cycle press line is the fourth that Dexco (formerly Duratex) is installing with Siempelkamp at the Agudos location.
In addition, the Brazilian wood-based panel manufacturer operates eight Siempelkamp plants with ContiRoll press technology; Duratex ordered the first ContiRoll 25 years ago.
The contract for the current project was signed in November 2020; 73 days after the arrival of the last container and thus in record time the first board was produced.
The plant has a capacity of 240 cycles per hour. The project was realized by Siempelkamp teams from Brazil, Germany, and the Czech Republic together with the Dexco team.
The customer describes the collaborative work from project planning through engineering and assembly to the actual commissioning as “perfect symphony and collaboration”.
