TURKEY – The Turkish wood-based panel producer Küpeliler Endustri AS placed orders for two new plants with Siempelkamp.
Firstly, the first continuous OSB plant to be assembled in Turkey – secondly, a new particleboard plant. Siempelkamp is thus continuing its successful commitment to the Turkish market.
Küpeliler Endustri AS is established in several business areas, among others in the cement, packaging, and wood-based panel industries.
The scope of supply includes a ContiRoll press in the format 4′ x 33.8 m, extendable to 45.4 m, which replaces an existing plant at the Kutahya location. The new Siempelkamp plant will support Küpeliler Endustri AS in increasing its board quality and implementing higher plant availability. With the brand “Westboard” Küpeliler demonstrates its many years of experience with OSB material, which is mainly used in the construction industry.
The company thus provides attractive alternatives to expensive plywood and serves the rapidly growing demand from the construction and packaging industries.
The second new order was placed by Küpeliler Endustri with Siempelkamp for its particleboard division. It comprises a line with a ContiRoll press in the format 7′ x 23.8 m, extendable to 28,8 m. This new investment replaces a single-level line at the Eskişehir site, which has been in production for 40 years.
The particleboard division was established and continuously expanded back in the 1980s under the company name Suntasan, part of the Küpeliler Group since 2006.
