GERMANY – When Pfleiderer, one of the leading companies in the wood industry, wanted to update their production facilities and enhance the quality of their wood panels to an even greater extent, they looked to Argos Solutions in Norway.

The Pfleiderer Group is a leading European producer of high-quality wood-based panels for use in the furniture, flooring, interior fittings and construction industries. In 2020, Pfleiderer generated consolidated net sales of around EUR 1 billion and employed approximately 3,450 in staff. Their production facility in Gütersloh, Germany produces particleboards that are finished into decorative panels. To ensure that the quality of the panels meet the strict requirements to the end users, two Argos MFC systems have been installed on site and one is in the final phase of production and testing in Norway.

The Argos Grading System is a powerful and effective system for automating the inspection of all types of surface defects in decorative surfaces. The optical inspection system checks the surface for the smallest defects and monitors the production process continuously.
