GERMANY – On January 1, 2021, the fittings specialist Häfele, headquartered in Nagold, will acquire Moebelplus Deutschland GmbH & Co KG from Mühlau. The approval of the transaction, which was registered with the German Federal Cartel Office on December 10th, is still pending.

Moebelplus, the up-and-coming online retailer for electrical household appliances, will continue to be run as an independent subsidiary of Häfele under the operational management of the two previous managing directors Mathias Grummt and Rico Kellner, subject to approval by the Federal Cartel Office.

For the next development phase of their company, the previous owners of Moebelplus inform, they have found the right partner in Häfele, because they are increasing their business customer reach significantly through the Häfele customer base and will be Häfele’s new supplier for electrical appliances and other suitable products. In return, Moebelplus markets are suitable for Häfele products geared at private customers in its online shop.
