ITALY – The innovative “SCM Live Show” formula, the event broadcast in live streaming in 9 languages from 30 June to 2 July, to show off the latest SCM additions to woodworking businesses, won the “Editor’s Choice” Prize as best b2b digital event at the 17th edition of POPKA – Press Outdoor & Promotion Key Award.

911SCM2 The prestigious Prize, organized annually by Media Key Events, is a benchmark for those working in advertising and corporate communications.

As SCM corporate communications Director, Gian Luca Fariselli, pointed out, this is an important acknowledgement of the extensive commitment from all the Group’s employees (over a hundred) who contributed to the success of this Live Show, from the different Business Units, production plants and branches around the world. A success story backed up by record numbers, with more than 4,000 people signing up from 100 countries in every continent, more than 50 innovative technologies on show, hundreds of questions and requests for more information during the live broadcast, and from which important business opportunities have arisen.

The “SCM Live Show” was designed as a television show with more than 24 hours of original content. The event was broadcasted in live streaming world-wide, spread across three days, to present the latest 2020 technologies that should have been showcased at the various international trade fairs that have been postponed or cancelled since last February due to the Covid-19 health emergency.

SCM’s corporate headquarters in Rimini and the group’s other production sites around Italy were transformed into television studios to achieve the vast show schedule of live link-ups, webinars and talk shows. Thirty product webinars saw more than fifty technological solutions take center stage to represent the vast range of SCM products and services starting with the Smart&Human Factory, the human-friendly digital factory for the furniture industry. SCM’s eighteen directly managed branches operating on the most strategic markets in the wood industry around the world were also involved with live linkups.
