GERMANY – In addition to the awards for high furniture quality (Golden M) and climate neutrality, Häcker Küchen now also has the label “Furniture Made in Germany”.

907HACKER “We are thus giving the end customer reliable evidence of what has always been part of Häcker’s corporate policy. We produce our kitchens exclusively in Germany, in the regions of East Westphalia and Osnabrück,” says Stefan Möller, Commercial Director at Häcker.

The geographical guarantee of origin serves consumers at home and abroad as a recognized and reliable guide when choosing new furniture. The strict criteria of the label were set by the German Institute for Quality Assurance and Labeling – RAL. The prerequisite for the issuance of the label is that the construction, assembly and quality inspection are carried out in Germany. In addition, the manufacturing process relevant to quality must mainly take place in Germany. As a result of the successful test, the Häcker Küchen furniture ranges were certified in August. The certificate was presented on October 22nd by Jan Kurth, Managing Director of the Association of the German Furniture Industry (VDM).

The new quality label “Furniture Made in Germany” was developed and introduced by VDM together with RAL. The Deutsche Gütegemeinschaft Möbel (DGM) on behalf of the VDM monitors compliance with the criteria for this. “It is important to us to manufacture our high-quality kitchen furniture in the region. With this, Häcker is also strengthening Germany as a business location and the jobs associated with it,” said Dirk Krupka, Managing Director Technology.
