MEXICO (Notifix).- Mexico’s Proteak, a leading forestry company with plantations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia, informed of new appointments to its management team.
With them the company aligns the operations of its business units to meet the upcoming challenges as it ventures into the MDF market with a new production facility in Jalisco.
Effective immediately, Nacif Omar will assume as Vice-president, Panel Division and be responsible for the industrial process and marketing of the division. Mr. Nacif has ample entrepreneurial experience in companies with rapid growth, including his role as CEO of SportsWorld (BMV: SPORT). Ingrid Cerwinka assumes as Executive Director of Planning and Institutional Relations. Ms. Cerwinka has vast experience in the banking sector, both public and private, where she held several management positions. Recently, Ms. Cerwinka served as General Director of credit at Financiera Rural and as such participated in the Councils of various financial institutions.
Enrique Espinosa, who currently holds the position of Director of Operations, will also assume the role of Vice President of Operations of the Teak Division. Mr. Espinosa will have the responsibility for the logistics, distribution and marketing of teak, which is sold and exported to over 15 countries on three continents. With teak, acacia and eucalyptus plantations in Mexico, Costa Rica and Colombia, Proteak is the largest forest company in Mexico and Central America. It exports its products to over 15 countries in America, Europe and Asia. Furthermore, Proteak develops all its plantations in strict compliance with the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) guidelines.
