BRAZIL – Brazilian exports of wooden furniture had a slight drop (-0.8 percent) in the first ten months of 2019 (10M-2019), reaching USD 416.68 million compared to USD 422.08 million in the same period of 2018.

Chile, which surpassed Peru, with a 7.9 percent rise, was the main South American market for Brazilian wooden furniture, with USD 28.57 million in 10M-2019 compared to USD 26.48 million in the same period of 2018.
Peru with a sharp drop of 21 percent was the second most important regional market, with USD 24.63 million (10M-2018: USD 31.19 million). Uruguay followed with USD 22.05 million and a 4.2 percent drop compared to 10M-2018 (USD 23.01 million).
The fastest growing markets for Brazilian exports of wooden furniture were France with a growth of 29.5 percent reaching USD 13.78 million in 10M-2019 compared to USD 10.64 million in the same period of 2018 and Canada, going from USD 11.56 million in 10M-2018 to USD 13.50 million in 10M-2019 for a growth of 16.8 percent.
