Falabella Group will invest USD 200 million in Peru this year

PERU (Notifix) – Sandro Solari, CEO of Falabella Holding, announced in an interview with Diario Gestion of Perú, the Company’s intend to invest during 2013 the sum of USD 200 million to expand its presence in the country.

Falabella Group will invest USD 200 million in Peru this year The Chilean group is present in Peru with 20 Saga Falabella department stores, 19 Sodimac home improvement stores, 11 shopping centers in their formats Open Plaza and Aventura Mall and 35 supermarkets of the Tottus brand.

“Peru is the second investment destination of the group and growth will be in all formats. What we are looking for is land, if the location and construction permits were more agile our expansion would be much faster,” said Solari, after the signing of the Joint Declaration of entrepreneurs in Peru and Chile, organized by the Chambers of Commerce of Santiago and Lima, as registered by Diario Gestion.

He also explained that the first half of 2013 has been quite positive in Peru: Saga Falabella grew 11.1%, 16.3% Sodimac, and Tottus 17%.
