Seven months to go before the opening of Movelsul Brasil 2020, the management of the fair is developing initiatives to attract qualified visitors and other special projects to boost business generation – such as the attraction of e-commerce and corporate furniture retailers; the planning of business meetings with 100 importers; the visit of 300 national buyers invited by the fair and the diversification of the mix of exhibitors.

The president of Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves, Vinicius Benini, highlights the success of the unprecedented action to subsidize booths for small-sized companies. This type of support, set up for local member companies of the association, was given to 20 booths located in pavilion C of the fair – with a 25 square meter area, basic installation included and 50% subsidized by Sindmóveis. All of these spaces have already been sold. “Movelsul has room for everyone: after all, growing is also a matter of opportunity,” says Vinicius Benini, president of Sindmóveis and Movelsul Brasil.

Organized by Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves, Movelsul Brasil is the largest business platform in Latin America for the furniture industry, providing a sales environment and image enhancement to manufacturers of furniture, decoration items and accessories. Along its history, Movelsul Brasil has had over 1,700 exhibiting companies. The first edition of the fair took place in 1977, the year in which the furniture sector was consolidated as the leading economic activity in Bento Gonçalves.

The fair is held every two years, bringing together exhibitors from several segments: offices, kitchens, bedrooms, laundry rooms, bathrooms, gardens, home appliances, dining and living rooms, rugs, upholstery and mattresses. In addition to qualified attendance of Brazilian retailers, Movelsul Brasil has a strong international positioning in the markets of interest to the Brazilian furniture industry.

In 2020, Movelsul Brasil will be held from March 16-19 at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves.
