GERMANY (Notifix).- The Homag Group, global leader in woodworking technology and equipment, reached 2Q-2013 sales of EUR 195.3 million a 3.7% increase compared to EUR 188.3 million in the same period 2012. Net result in the period reached EUR 2.2 million compared to -0.2 million in the 2Q-2012.
The sales region of Central/South America recorded the highest growth with a 72.7%. Followed by the North America region with a 27.9% sales improvement. The EU countries (excluding Germany) achieved a sales improved of 19.7% compared to the 2Q-2012.
Subject to the condition that there are no major disruptions in the global economy, the Group aims to exceed the prior-year order intake figure in 2013 and generate sales revenue for the Group of around EUR 800 million. The Group anticipates an operative EBITDA before employee profit participation expenses and before extraordinary expenses of around EUR 75 million and expects to return a net profit of the Group for the year of around EUR 15 million.
