COLOMBIA – After the success of the XIV edition of the Technological and Industrial Fair of Furniture and Wood (M & M) that took place in March 2018 in Corferias, its next edition in 2020 will be rebranded and repositioned to Interzum Bogotá.
With this rebranding Interzum is expanding its worldwide trade fair network in Colombia. The network of Interzum includes, in addition to Interzum in Cologne (Germany) – the worldwide leader in the segment, Interzum Guangzhou (China), the ZOW (Bad Salzuflen, Germany) and now also Interzum Bogotá (Colombia).
“With the valuable support of Interzum, we are convinced that we will be able to turn the fair into the HUB of the sector in the region, strengthening the supply of the productive chain and making available to the professional visitors a robust platform, with the best solution alternatives for the industry, being an ideal scenario to achieve two way commercial agreements”, affirms Andrés López Valderrama, Executive President of Corferias.
The increased perception of the potential offered by the Colombian market and the event for international companies was already very clearly demonstrated by the last edition of the M&M fair, which was for the first time under the new ownership of the joint venture Corferias – Koelnmesse: 92 of a total of 192 exhibitors came from abroad (from 16 countries). In comparison to the previous event, the direct international participation of 17 increased impressively to 48 percent. Exhibitors of Interzum (Cologne), such as Blum, Häfele, Makita, Jowat, Lamitech, Rehau, SIGE, Swiss Krono and Vauth- Sagel participated in the last edition proving this trade fair as an important platform for a successful entry into the markets in Colombia, Central America and the Andean region.
“The increasing internationalization of the Furniture and Wood Fair (M & M) confirms the importance of Colombia as a relevant center to open new business opportunities. With its global knowledge and experience, Koelnmesse is a precursor and important partner for the entry of companies in the furniture supply and wood processing industry into promising regional markets,” explains Gerald Böse, President and CEO of Koelnmesse GmbH.
Offering segments of Interzum Bogotá will be expanded for the coming edition. In addition to the wood processing segment, Interzum Bogotá 2020 will further expand its offering in the furniture production field in the segments “Materials and Nature” and “Function and Components”, following the model established by Interzum global that is more attractive for exhibitors and for the attending public.
Alternating with Interzum (Cologne), the dates of the coming event are optimally adapted to the trade fair calendar and the needs of the industry. The next edition of Interzum Bogotá takes place from May 26-29, 2020 in Bogotá.
