BRAZIL – Promoting continuous efforts to improve its industrial and forestry operations, aiming at the socio-environmental balance of its entire value chain, is a commitment of Duratex, which also has water eco-efficiency goals in its Sustainability Strategy.

The way the company manages the issue was considered a reference by the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), an international organization that acts in the prevention of climate change and environmental damage.

Duratex graded A- in the 2018 edition of the initiative’s water safety report, which assesses how companies deal with the risks and opportunities of the issue.

The grade placed Duratex in the Leadership category of CDP, both for the way it manages water in its production processes and for the transparent manner in which it reports its information to the market.

In 2018, more than 680 companies from all over the world, from different sectors, responded to CDP Water, with only 30 of them Latin American.

The initiative acts as a reference guide for responsible investment, being consulted by investors and shareholders from around the world.
