CHILE – On January 29 Masisa informed the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) of Chile that its Board of Directors accepted the resignation of its Corporate General Manager, Roberto Salas Guzmán with effect March 31st, who resigned alluding to personal reasons.
In his replacement the Board of Masisa appointed Alejandro Carrillo Escobar in the position of Corporate General Manager, this appointment will take effect on April 1st. Carrillo Escobar is part of the Masisa Board of Directors, a position to which he must resign in order to assume the management of the company.
Carrillo Escobar was born in Mexico and holds a degree in Public Accounting from the Universidad Iberoamericana of México, an MBA from the University of Victoria in Canada and a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from IPADE in Mexico.
“By legal mandate the full renewal of the board of directors should proceed at the next ordinary meeting of shareholders to be held by the Company in April this year, and which will be timely convened,” concludes the letter to the CMF and signed by Masisa’s Legal and Corporate Affairs Manager, Patricio Reyes Urrutia.
