MEXICO – Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial – MEM Industrial – will present a new profile in its upcoming edition: a specialized trade fair of suppliers for the woodworking industry.
To be held at the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City from January 16 to 18, 2019, MEM Industrial has been redesigned to have greater focus on machinery, equipment and accessories for wood processing and furniture manufacture thus eliminating the MEM Interiors and MEM Office salons that were part of previous editions.
In addition, its new owner, Deutsche Messe AG, through its local subsidiary, Hannover Fairs México, established a cooperation agreement with the Mexican Association of Suppliers of the Timber and Furniture Industry A.C. – AMPIMM – for the organization of Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial, starting with the 2019 edition.
“The Magna Expo Mueblera, which last year included the specialized exhibitions MEM Industrial and MEM Interiors, obtains with these strategic decisions an even clearer profile, and in this way reinforces its positioning as the main trade fair for processing and transformation of wood and furniture manufacturing in Mexico,” said Christian Pfeiffer, Global Director of LIGNA & Woodworking Events at Deutsche Messe AG.
The good level of participation of the international market leaders confirms this decision. Top brands have already confirmed their presence, either with their own stand or through their local distributors, among them Altendorf GmbH, Biesse Group, Felder, Homag Group / Stiles Machinery Inc., Imos AG, Jowat SE, Koch Technology GmbH & Co., Leitz GmbH & Co., SCM Group SpA, Vollmer Werke Maschinenfabrik GmbH and Michael Weinig AG / Holzher. The presentation of the official German pavilion, a pavilion of Chinese companies and the participation of suppliers of the furniture and wood industry from Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Italy and Mexico, among others, have also been confirmed.
